JAMB Announces New 2016 Admission Cut-off Mark

Jamb Utme cut off mark details for 2016 UTME. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced the cut-off marks for candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions for 2016/2017 Academic Session.

The JAMB registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, who announced the cut-off points during a press briefing to announce the commencement of the 2016 UTME, said the decision taken at the last policy meeting of education stakeholders still holds.

He said the admission cut-off for Universities and other degree awarding institutions remains 180 marks while that of the National Certificate in Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND) and National Innovation Diploma is 150 marks.

Ojerinde, however added that tertiary institutions are at liberty to increase their cut off marks as they deem fit.

Prospective Post UTME candidates are to note that the Jamb utme cut off mark is the minimum score to be adopted by tertiary institutions in Nigeria for 2016/2017 academic session admissions.

The schools reserve the right to review their individual cut-off marks upwards depending on the number of candidates that qualified for their post utme screening exam.
